PROMOTING OMEGA-3 RESEARCH
APPLICATIONS FOR HUMAN HEALTH
The Global Award for Omega-3 Research was established to promote scientific research on omega-3 fatty acids and their applications in the management of chronic diseases. An annual prize of $100,000 USD will be granted to a scientist who has made outstanding contributions to our understanding of the health benefits of omega-3 fatty acids and their applications, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, or political affiliation.

The 2016 Laureate of the Global Award for Omega-3 Research has been announced at the International Conference on Omega-3 and Human Health (ICOHH 2016) in Shanghai, China. Dr. Jing X. Kang, the Professor of Medicine and Director of the Laboratory for Lipid Medicine and Technology (LLMT) at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, has achieved this honor.
